Senior product manager/product manager
Location: Shanghai, China

C3 ,a global software company HQ'd in Silicon Valley, California, USA and Symphony Services, an international IT services company HQ'd in Palo Alto, California, USA are working together in Shanghai, China to build a new generation of software systems for Enterprise Energy Management. : software systems for enterprise Energy Resource Management by leveraging some of the advanced technologies: Cloud computing, SaaS, Business Intelligence, data mining and analysis,

The company is looking for high caliber product managers to join the exciting, newly formed product team in Shanghai (office location is in 漕河泾).

Major qualifications include:

* BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field;
* MBA preferred;
* 3-5 years of work experience in a software product company; Experience with enterprise software applications (SAP, Oracle, SAS, etc.) preferred;
* Proven capability and experience as software product manager to transform market requirements to product specs (MRD/FRD); Could be asked to provide samples/templates of previous work
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English are required (and will be tested)
* Proven ability to work with cross-functional and multiple-time-zone teams
* Experience and knowledge of one or multiple of these areas a big plus: ERP (manufacturing, supply chain management), Business Intelligence, data mining & analysis, Content Management System, environmental laws & regulations and compliance
* Hard working; self-motivated; must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-culture and mutli-time-zone startup environment
* High integrity; team player

A few simple questions to filter candidates who could make it:
Question 1:
    Are you an 'owner' (i.e. product manager) of a product or some major features of a product; if so, what are they? (this is a question to eliminate those who are actually consultants who *use* a base product to come up a solution for an end customer's requirement rather define what a product should be, and what features should have, etc.

Question 2 (if the reply to above question is positive):
    Do you have experience in writing product specs (specification, or PRD, product requirement documentation) for development team to follow? If so, are you able to provide samples or templates later on during the interview process? (this is a question to filter candidates who do have the required skill, which is to be able to write specs for a product)
